Mine claim they do, but rationally speaking I just can't see that being the case.
I am 20, I have an 18 year old sister and a 10 year old brother.
My brother is good looking and he is going to grow up into a proper prettyboy, I can see it already. He is the most popular one in his class and is also taller than most kids his age.
Like, if a fairy went back in time and offered my parents:
"Do you want 2 mediocre and one amazing child or do you want 3 amazing children?"
... they'd certainly pick the latter.
So, if I'd lose to my fictional self, how can they love the actual better version of me, that being my brother, as much as they love me?
