Can someone explain socialcirclemaxxing/status maxing in college

After hs I went to community college which was boring af, I finished all my classes early and now I have a semester of doing nothing, so I decided to walk around my local state school before transferring.

How tf could I possibly meet people? I plan on joining a few clubs but clubs seem super weird especially if I’m going in there alone without knowing anyone.

Stats: 6’1 MTN. Mediterranean/Korean mix. Introverted af though, won’t speak to people.
