Can teeth straightening as an adult fuck up your facial aesthetics?

I know wearing braces as a kid can be death sentance for facial growth, but as a fully grown adult, can wearing removable braces to fix the 4 front teeth have any impact on the facial aesthetics and especially jaw / cheeks?

I got it at 14 for an overbite (both top and bottom teeth slanted). I don't think it changed my maxilla but my chin is now recessed

It depends on a lot of stuff. If your teeth need straightening that means your facial aesthetics probably aren't that great to start out with. I'd try to fix it naturally with mewing & mastic gum.
