I'm looking around for suitable treatments to widen my jaws and my smile. I know MSE can be used to widen the maxilla, and I want this treatment really bad. The problem is obvious though: I cant find any similar treatments for the lower jaw, because obviously the teeth have to meet correctly. They do right now, its just that they're narrow af. Any advice? Thanks

i tohught mse widened jaw and mouth/palate as well

so is it even possible to do the same thing with mandible?
Ask @Brandon10 or @Sergio-OMS
They have bigger knowledge but i guess u need implants or MSDO for mandible.

is this treatment something traditional and common or do you need to look in a cave in south korea to find it? lol
Lol
every ortho who gives MSE does MSDO as well.
If your ortho doesn't do it then find a new one

No, almost no MSE ortho does MSDO
Then how do they expand the lower mandible?
Like whats the use of MSDO then if not to expand the mandible to match the maxilla?

Is MSDO used for only cosmetic reasons?

MSE is used to expand narrow palates to match the width of the lower arch. This lower dental arch can be normally widened a bit by means of braces. But normally that’s the end point of the treatment. Use of MSDO is very rarely done.

NO! You will need to expand mandible as well!

Normally MSE is used to match the lower arch. I only only heard of one ortho in my country that have treated a couple of patients introducing MSDO in the treatment plan. And, of course, he is an orthodontist, he hasn't done the surgical part.

Orthodontists expand the upper arch (or jaw) until the bite matches the lower arch. Only a few orthodontist in the world would be willing to take MSDO into account, but none for cosmetic reasons, only if some breathing problem is present.

wow. That blackpill's gonna be hard to swallow, even with water

get fillers for the jaw
for the lower arch you can do SFOT or you can ask your ortho to angle your back teeth outwards
but you should ask him if he can do that

You mean that you can combine MSE with a treatment that angles the lower teeth outwards?

I guess Dr Andreishiev would do MSDO with MSE for cosmetic purposes?

So the orthodontist i found that does MSE, will not give it to me because my jaws are aligned right now?
Even if my IMW is 29mm? Fucking comical

Can you like expand the upper arch no matter what, and even if your lower arch is narrower keep your functionality or a narrower lower arch makes it impossible to bite/eat etc

Depends on the ortho
This is more a looks procedure rather then a bite and function
Not many ortho are willing to that
Ye he said it
But how many times he actually done it?
I havent seen one pic of msdo
