- no jobs
- high taxes
- low pay
- high cost of living

Retards here in Canada love to speak about Free healthcare but it doesn’t mean shit when there’s nothing here for you if you actually plan on being an economic contributor. There’s a reason why most educated ppl in top fields flee to the US. Why stay here for free healthcare when you can move to the US with privatized healthcare but 5x the income, 5x the purchasing power and lower costs? Jfl

Fuck this cold shithole tbh. This place is very nice if you’re a NEET. Contrary to popular belief, the middle class here is not very secure. They have little savings for emergencies and bad times.

The rich here are a shadow of the rich that are in the US. It is what it is. Unless you’re welfare maxxing, no point in staying.

That sealed the deal for me. Total shithole in 2100. Why would you move here? It will turn into the UK 2.0.

90% of the Canadian population is concentrated in like 5 metro areas. Something like 40-50% live in a corridor stretching from Southern ontario to Southern quebec.

It’s not like they’re building more cities. Rather, these current cities will just expand upwards and outwards. Turning into overpopulated messes.

Toronto will probably become Like london. Extremely high rent, extremely high population density, just a total hellscape. Same will go for Montreal and Vancouver.

Considering the white birth rate here is below replacement levels, the country will just become ethnic majority. With Curries and Chinese people becoming dominant ethnic groups. Which will solidify the shithole status of this country

“Many immigrant taxi drivers have university degrees (20% with undergraduate or master's degrees compared to 4% of Canadian-born drivers) or advanced skills, which has led to criticism of Canada's immigration system.[8]

Cream rises to the top, sure. But you’re better off going somewhere else if you want to rise to the top. Canada is not the place to be for that

These new immigrants end up with low paying jobs often even after being skilled due to there being bare minimum amounts of opportunity here. Even people born here with degrees end up with shitty 9-5 jobs that pay peanuts after the government takes their big slice. US mogs

Buying a house is unaffordable for many young people in canada. The government won't do anything to burst the housing bubble because they will lose votes from the people who own property. So they can't do things like calculate the population growth in the country and plan to develop an x amount of homes because it will increase the supply and therefore lower the values of the property owning class. The majority of mortgages are also insured so the government is on the hook for mortgage defaults.

real estate is also one of the biggest industries in Canada and it's a huge waste. All of this money is flowing into something that shouldn't even be an investment, we should be investing in technology, science, transportation, infrastructure etc.

The rents also rise with this as well as property taxes and maintenance fees for people who own homes so even the average middle class person is losing money due to inflation caused by housing, and our salaries don't even come close to increasing at the same rate as real inflation.

then instead of people thinking critically they fall for bourgeoisie lies and the divide and conquer strategy and blame immigrants and baby boomers.

Canada also lacks its own foreign policy. We are basically a US puppet state.

So basically Canada is in an economic and political mess and has a population that lack critical thinking abilities.

On top of all that the people are garbage. Especially the women.

but Canada is still a better place to live for the average person compare to the US. The food standards are significantly better than the US and our health care is also better. You guys are younger so you probably don't appreciate our health care system because you haven't really needed to use it. Yes there are shit doctors and you will need to spend some time to find competent ones but you would have to do that anywhere.

also the taxes aren't high in Canada that's some nonsense myth. The taxes are reasonable. However I think the taxes should be slightly lower for doctors and lawyers who can make up to 400k because they do genuine work , the legit rich people who make money through stocks and dividends should be taxed more, in fact they should be taxed so high that they leave the country. Once those filth are removed from society they won't have any leverage by bribing politicians.

And the money you spend on taxes is significantly less than if you had to pay for the services yourself.

If you make 100k your after tax income will be around 73k.

If you don't like paying those taxes you can go live somewhere like India where less than 1% of the population pay taxes.

Fucking brutal. Canada is very big on seniority. Many new grads from my STEM program are happy if they make $50k CAD starting meanwhile American new grads are aiming for at least $80k USD.

Now take away rent (1.4k minimum in big cities like toronto)

56k a year now.

How about telecom? Canada has the highest rates in the world. Avg Canadian household spends 101$ a month on their phone bill alone. So 1.2k a year gone. (Internet not included)

54.8k now. Car insurance, food bills, gas, all added costs. It adds up. All for that small amount left over, after working a 100k job which you probably busted your ass off to get during your youth by grinding in college and internships.

It’s obvious as to why these type of people are the ones jumping ship from Canada to the US.

Literally know a dude that’s in the GIS field making $40k starting. I think it’s the government subsidized education that causes this. When every kid can get loans easily, and tuition isn’t that expensive, employers don’t feel like they have to pay more.

Canada is a top 2-3 world country.
top1-2 being US switzerland

-limiting healthcare spending is a good thing and in 10 yrs, med congestion will be solved.
-"this place is very nice if youre a neet" its literally the worst 1st world country to be a NEET.
-Corporate tax rate at <500k is 11-15% (income taxes are irrelevant)
-Highest guaranteed population growth
-"low salaries" are a good thing
