Got to do 2 sql courses, a computer architecture course and a linux course

the sql class should be fine... Because i have done it previously, linux one is based on more niche parts of linux (i know how to use kali and debian) but the computer arch is kicking my ass. I keep procrastinating.

I have so much caffeine available i dont know what else i can do.

CS for me required calc 1-3, calc based physic + lab for 1 & 2, probability & statistics, linear algebra, and then plenty of math involved in other courses like algorithms, graph theory, discrete math, computational structures, etc.

I had to do Calc 1, Disc 1 2 and Linear Algebra/Stats. Calc 2/3 would make me fucking drop out though

ritalin (methylphenidate) or adderall/dexamphetamine/2-fma/vyvanse etc., take it, start on your shit, and you will think it's the most interesting thing in the world for 10 hours, at least that's how it works for me

I'm popping 40mg capsules of lisdexamfetamine like it's candy, yet I still have the same problem as OP (@ZoomerSpicoid415).

Drugs help, yes, no doubt, but they probably aren't the solution.

This. Frontend web development already ended with ai.

Backend, embedded and game development has 10 years left at most

😂😂😂 cope is real.

Imagine thinking an LLM model is going to destroy web dev, company I am in are hiring juniors and we have hundreds of applications a day with the same shitty portfolios (calculator, Todo apps) and then these same people will go on forums crying how the industry is doomed to AI and it’s over saturated. The talent pool is trash and they still think these shitty apps will get them a job.

I am fullstack and regularly use AI in my job and yes it helps in certain scenarios but others it is useless especially for new frameworks and updated libraries due to how behind the model is since it was last updated in April 2023.

But I appreciate the doom post as it keeps more people away from web dev 👍

Nigga you literally proove that industry is dying with how many juniors are jobless.

There used to be a time when this "shitty portfolios" gets you good junior jobs, because they should have.

Tf you expect from juniors ? Writing Valorant in Assembly so it runs faster ?

Again, the fact that juniors can no longer find jobs means industry is oversaturated, if you dont even know the meanings of words, you should not use them.

So because 5 - 10 years ago you could learn html, css, bit of JavaScript and display some info on a page from a public API you could land a job means that should still be the case?

Company I’m working for receives over 200 applications in the first few days, with 95% of them Pajeets from the slums of Mumbai trying his luck regardless if it’s a hybrid role, and the other 5% being portfolios full of calculators, todo apps, and amazing Netflix clone!!!

People need to be original and make their own shit instead of following the crowd like a sheep and maybe they will do good in this industry - guess it’s easier complaining on .org because they’ve had no luck sending in their shitty portfolio.

Yes, that’s exactly what I made with features such as recording lifts, monthly progress pics, adding macros etc… Not sure if there is tutorial for it but I did it myself and I think that’s what recruiters want to see unique projects - as I can imagine it would get annoying seeing the same Netflix clone 100 time per day.

I also made a marketplace website similar to eBay/vinted/depop which again I haven’t see anything similar - I just see the same e-commerce shit so I thought that would be unique.

But you should definitely focus on making the UI look good and if you have shit design skills then take inspiration from dribbble or even take a few designs from current fitness website / apps.

Also learn SQL because it’s much more popular in the industry compared to nosql such as mongodb etc.

not really maybe like 2-3 years ago, nothing is more important than actual experience

So then how does one get experience without having any? Do they want people with stacked internship resumes?

just pure luck, or just straight up lying but they do background checks so most of the lying comes through over exaggerating what you actually did but you will be asked about it in the interviews

Nothing to do with ai, economy is just shit atm
