Essentialy long-distance running is a meme, it decreases body fat yeah but it decreases also muscle mass and testosterone level. Yet sprinting is a holy grail for keeping your body fat low and testosterone+muscle mass high.

Correct. More importantly, excessive exercise is a stressor, and stress ages the body and rapes collagen.

Remorselessly plodding along slowly is far inferior to HIIT - which actually lengthens telomeres so is anti aging.

LISS cardio activates the AMPK pathway which is anti-aging. They have to stay lean and thin because it's optimal for long-distance running. This is retarded gymcel cope. Avoid cardio to your own peril.

I know a dude who runs a lot everyday and he is pretty lean yeah but also norwooded alot and looks a lot older than his age.
I think walking is good for long term cardio as it isnt as stressful to the body
 
Being a low bodyweight is an advantage with long distance running. Its common sense, and anybody who has run long distance can attest that being heavier noticeably slows down your time and impacts your joints negatively.

Muscle requires more oxygen which negatively impacts long distance running performance. So common sense would tell you that endurance runners dont want muscle which is why they lack it.

We all know that leanmaxxing is king for looks. Endurance runners by far have the lowest bodyfat percentage of all athletes for a reason. If you lift AND do cardio you will have both a lean and muscular physique. It’s why ALL pro bodybuilders incorporate daily cardio when prepping for competitions.

Cardio is not a meme. These marathon runners aren't a good example of what moderate cardio can do for you. Cardio is so healthy and good for aesthetics. Just don't run 40 miles a week lol

Lifting also burns very little calories. In one hour, you burn 300 calories tops.

You could literally do that in half the time with LOW INTENSITY steady state cardio. And the more you do cardio, the better shape you become which allows you to burn even more calories in the same time.

The leannest athletes on the planet are endurance runners, and their sport is literally cardio. So if you want to be leanmaxxed, still lift, but treat cardio just as if not even more seriously

This. If they lifted to gain muscle, they’d look more muscular, but then their performance in their sport would suffer

Low intensity cardio offers many unique benefits (mitochondria for example)
