CBD OIL GUIDE

1619272556572

What is it?

CBD is one of many cannabinoids (compounds) in the cannabis plant.
Two of the compounds in marijuana are delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and CBD. These compounds have different effects. It's a naturally occurring substance that's used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the major active ingredient in marijuana.

Until recently, THC was the best-known compound in cannabis. It is the most active constituent, and it has a psychological effect. It creates a mind-altering “high” when a person smokes it or uses it in cooking. This is because THC breaks down when a person applies heat and introduces it into the body.

CBD, in contrast, is not psychoactive. It does not change a person’s state of mind when they use it. However, it may produce significant changes in the body, and it is showing some significant medical benefits which I will get to below.

What are the health benefits of CBD Oil?

Anxiety and Depression:

One of the more commonly known effects of CBD oil is reducing anxiety and stress.
Anxiety and depression are common mental health disorders that can have devastating impacts on health and well-being.
According to the World Health Organization, depression is the single largest contributor to disability worldwide, while anxiety disorders are ranked sixth.
Anxiety and depression are usually treated with pharmaceutical drugs, which can cause a number of side effects including drowsiness, agitation, insomnia, sexual dysfunction and headaches.
CBD oil has shown promise as a treatment for both depression and anxiety, leading many who live with these disorders to become interested in this natural approach.

Placebo + Real CBD Study:
In one Brazilian study, 57 men received either oral CBD or a placebo 90 minutes before they underwent a simulated public speaking test. The researchers found that a 300-mg dose of CBD was the most effective at significantly reducing anxiety during the test.

The placebo, a 150-mg dose of CBD, and a 600-mg dose of CBD had little to no effect on anxiety.

CBD oil has even been used to safely treat insomnia and anxiety in children with post-traumatic stress disorder.

CBD has also shown antidepressant-like effects in several animal studies.

These qualities are linked to CBD’s ability to act on the brain’s receptors for serotonin, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood and social behavior.

A study done by NCBI found that a 600mg dose of CBD helped people with social anxiety give a speech.

Pain Relief:

The effects of CBD oil on your brain’s receptors may also help you manage pain
A multiple sclerosis drug made from a combination of TCH and CBD, is approved in the United Kingdom and Canada to treat MS pain. However, researchers think the CBD in the drug may be contributing more with its anti-inflammatory properties than by acting against the pain. Clinical trials of CBD are necessary to determine whether or not it should be used for pain management.

Muscle Pain:

Chronic Pain:
Spinal Cord Injuries:
MS Pain:
Arthritis:

Anti Acne

The effects of CBD on receptors in the immune system may help reduce overall inflammation in the body. In turn, CBD oil may offer benefits for acne management. A human study published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation found that the oil prevented activity in sebaceous glands. These glands are responsible for producing sebum, a natural oily substance that hydrates the skin.

Better Sleep/Insomnia

Most clinical trials on CBD and sleep have involved giving the subjects anywhere between 25 mg to 1,500 mg of CBD per day. It’s best to start with a low dosage and gradually increase it until you find something that works for you.

Much of the research on CBD, anxiety, and sleep has noted that many patients don’t notice an immediate difference. The 2019 study mentioned above noted that it took about a month for the subjects to notice a difference.

Early studies indicate that high dosages of CBD may support sleep:
One investigation found that, compared with a placebo, a CBD dosage of 160 milligramsTrusted Source (mg) increased sleep duration. The researchers also concluded that the placebo, 5 mg of the insomnia drug nitrazepam, and 40, 80, and 160 mg of CBD helped the participants fall asleep.

Levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, typically peakTrusted Source in the morning, but people with insomnia may have high cortisol levels at night. Independent of insomnia, having high cortisol levels at night is associated with an increasedTrusted Source number of nighttime awakenings.

In one study on the effects of CBD, researchers found that cortisol levels decreased more significantly when participants took 300 or 600 mgTrusted Source of CBD oil. These results suggest that CBD affects the release of cortisol, possibly acting as a sedative.

A more recent analysisTrusted Source of CBD and sleep recruited 103 participants who had anxiety or poor sleep. The researchers studied the effects of CBD combined with those of other prescribed medications.

The CBD dosages ranged from 25–175 mg. The researchers found that 25 mg Trusted Sourcewas the most effective dosage for anxiety and that addressing troubled sleep required higher dosages.

During the 3-month study, the investigators followed up with the participants monthly. At the first follow-up, 66.7% reported an improvement in sleep, but 25% had worsened sleep. At the second, 56.1% of the participants reported improved sleep, but 26.8% had worsened sleep.

What dosage should I take?

The dosage of CBD you use, and the time you take it, will depend on a number of factors. Your weight, personal body chemistry, and the nature of your sleeping troubles will affect how the CBD works. What works for some people might not work for others.

It’s best to start with a smaller dosage and gradually increase it. This could mean starting with 20 to 40 mg a day. After a week, increase this amount by 5 mg. Continue this until you feel that it’s effectively treating your symptoms.

For example, you might start off with 40 mg to treat severe pain. You can take 40 mg on days when you’re in a lot of pain. After a week, you increase it to 45 mg, and after a second week, you use 50 mg. At this point, you might feel that your pain is bearable.

It might be wise to keep track of how much CBD you’re taking and whether your symptoms are getting better. Write it down on paper or in a notes app on your phone.

How to calculate dosage?

Some products, such as CBD gummies, capsules, or pills, tell you how much is in a single serving. For example, the packaging on a bottle of CBD capsules might indicate that there are 5 mg of CBD per capsule.
If you’re using CBD oil, it’ll likely come in a dropper bottle. The packaging might specify how much CBD is in a single drop. From there, you can figure out how many drops you need to use.

Sometimes it’s harder to figure out how much CBD is in one drop because the packaging specifies the total amount of CBD in the entire bottle, but not the amount that will be in a single drop.
One drop is about 0.05 milliliters (mL). That is, not a full dropper — just a single drop.

This means that a 10-mL bottle of CBD oil contains 200 drops. And if the packaging for that 10-mL bottle says that the bottle contains 1,000 mg of CBD, each drop will contain about 5 mg of CBD.
So, to have 20 mg of that type of CBD oil, you should take four drops.

Is CBD Oil Legal?

The legal status of CBD oil and other types of CBD products will largely define your shopping experience. Currently, CBD exists in a bit of a gray zone when it comes to the law. State and local laws vary in how they approach the sale and consumption of CBD, with some places being much more open and liberal and others remaining much more restrictive. For this reason, you should familiarize yourself with local CBD laws before starting the process of buying CBD oil near you because this will dictate how and where you buy your CBD.

At the federal level, CBD oil and other CBD products are currently much more accessible. The Farm Bill of 2018 introduced some big changes to laws surrounding hemp production, and many of these changes have been interpreted to directly relate to certain types of CBD products. Under the 2018 laws, hemp is defined as a cannabis plant with less than 0.3% THC. Further, hemp plants were moved off of the federal list of banned substances and are now legal to grow, harvest, manufacture, and sell. As a result, products derived from hemp plants are also now viewed as legal to produce, sell, purchase, and possess — and that includes CBD products that are derived from legal hemp plants.

Buying CBD oil online

If you want to buy CBD online, be sure you take time to research the reputation of the online retailer from which you are buying. Read customer reviews. Research the descriptions of the CBD products the site is selling, and keep in mind that the highest-quality products are very open and transparent with their labeling. In particular, make sure the product does not contain more than 0.3% THC and that it was produced from legal hemp plants. See our tips below for what to check for when reading labels and descriptions of CBD oil or other products.

Finally, if you are buying CBD online, look into the privacy policies of the retailer. While the new laws introduced by the 2018 Farm Bill should protect your ability to buy CBD online and receive the product through the mail without any real legal problems, confusion about CBD laws still persists. For this reason, it's best to play it safe.

What to look for when buying CBD oil

When buying CBD oil or any other CBD product, it is crucial that you try to find the highest-quality product you can. With so many CBD products flooding the market, it can sometimes be tricky to find pure, effective CBD. Fortunately, the best CBD products are easy to find if you take the time to read their labels.
The 2018 Hemp Farming Bill shifted the oversight of hemp and hemp-derived products from the US Department of Justice (DOJ) to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA currently does not allow CBD-infused food, drinks, or dietary supplements to be sold, and hasn't yet provided regulations for hemp-derived CBD products.
Despite this lack of clear regulations, the agency still requires companies producing CBD products to make legitimate claims on their labels. Buyers should nonetheless approach CBD products with caution. Most reputable CBD producers typically include the following information on their CBD product labels:

1. Amount of active CBD per serving

2. Supplement Fact panel, including other ingredients

3. Net weight

4. Manufacturer or distributor name

5. Suggested use

6. Full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or isolate Batch or date code.

My thoughts:

TL:DR:

CBD has a significant amount of health benefits and is easily accessible to buy/use.

don't spread false info. this isn't weed.

it gave me POST FINASTERIDE SYNDROME, COLLAGEN AND HAIRLOSS AT THE SAME TIME

You should vape it or if you have the cash, smoke it (here the cheapest is 9€ per gram). These two are the methods with best absorption rate.

Bottles of vaping liquid should be at least 300mg/10ml, takes many big drags to feel drowsy.

CBD weed is the most expensive thing, but also the most potent way and you feel it pretty fast.

Sorry for reviving this thread. What do you guys take for sleeping: CBD or THC?

I take CBD oil. It has the relaxing properties for this. If you live in the UK, you can check out this clinic that I'm subscribed to. They will help you choose what you need.
