That was from a reality show, they were testing the acting skills of some guys, when you go to a casting session to get a part in a movie or tv show, they usually test you like this, asking you to improvise on the spot various emotions and situations - you need talent for this and not many male models have it, very few manage to break into the movie business, they just suck as actors.
