When i am lifting weights i try to pump up the muscles, is it the correct way to grow the muscles ?

But the pump is just temporary and feels satisfying, feels like i worked out hard but i literally am confused cause when i lift heavy it doesnt pumps the muscle but doing like 10 to 12 reps with moderate weight pumps up the muscle

I was joking mostly but it's fine to pump up

I workout slow asf usually, taking long rests and getting minimal pump, It makes me feel it more the next day
