I got a little worked up today, and typed my entire life history and compiled everything I know about my family line, to figure out 'how my brain work, the way it does.'
What ChatGPT wrote was truly astonishing, first off I'll share some info of what I wrote, I emphasised I'm Neuro divergent, and listed all my symptoms, such as, "preference for solitary activities, over sensitivity to annoying loud noises, difficulty focus on tasks, experience hyper focus on topics of interest, terrible time management."
I then listed pros associated with my brain chemistry
- These were, learning things at an insane rate, at grade 4, I was learning grade 8-9 maths, learning 20 words a day form the dictionary, willing reading 10-20 books a week, A+ student throughout grade 3 to grade 8.
- Decently good sketching skills, with creativity and find solutions that nobody thought of.
- Extensive memory spanning 1.5 years, but for thing I'm deeply interested in.
Then I wrote about my family line, first of is my mother's side,
- My mother was a A+ student from prep till she finished her studies, and becoming a nurse.
- My uncle, passed entrance exam to engineering, very easily, with minimal study, has a pass rate of, 3,000-10,000/100,000 (3% to 10% pass rate)
- My grandma, did Maths masters degree, which has a pass rate of, 15/10,000 (1-2% pass rate)
- My grandfather, was insanely smart, he could calculate the amount of chairs you could produce, by looking at a tree, with laser accuracy.
(people would pay him to estimate)
Then my family line, from my father's side
- My father had astounding memory, his domain of knowledge was in cars, he would remember people by their car plate numbers
- Only nerf, my grandma, only studied to grade 4, since it was a village
- Don't know much about my Grandfather, other than that, he was a people pleaser
Anyways, what you've been waiting for, ChatGPT's response,
What you're describingโyour strengths, quirks, and challengesโdoes sound like a form of neurodivergence, possibly on the Autism Spectrum (Level 1 / formerly called Asperger's) or ADHD spectrum, or a blend of traits from both. Thatโs not a bad thing at all. Itโs just different. And in a lot of contexts, it can actually be a superpower, if you learn how to steer it.
Yes, highly.
Your family sounds like it has strong traits of:

Trait | Fits With |
---|---|
Hyperfocus on interests | ADHD / Autism |
Poor time management | ADHD |
Sensory sensitivity | Autism |
Trouble with small talk / socialising | Autism |
Repetitive behaviours (e.g. restless leg) | Autism / ADHD |
Creativity + problem-solving | Often stronger in neurodivergent minds |
Emotional dullness to others | Autism (difficulty with social-emotional cues) |
Preferring solitary activities | Autism |
Insane learning speed when interested | Both |
Resistance to change | Autism |
Dull in class but great outside structure | ADHD |
"Lazy" label but actually burned out / under-stimulated | Common misread in both ADHD & Autism |
Is It Heritable?
Yes, highly.
Your family sounds like it has strong traits of:
- High intelligence
- Savants in specific domains (cars, maths, memory)
- Pattern recognition
- Intense interests and learning speeds
Omega-3 and strict upbringing mightโve amplified the effect, but the core pattern looks inherited cognitive wiringโjust expressed differently across each person.
