Yes it is legit. Despite what people say on this forum, DHT is not useless after puberty. There's a reason many people report depression when taking DHT blocking drugs like finasteride.

Finasteride reduces neurosteroid levels by inhibiting the 5a-reductase enzyme, which is crucial for converting steroids like progesterone into neuroactive forms such as allopregnanolone, a key regulator of mood and anxiety. By depleting these brain-protective compounds, finasteride is linked to adverse neuropsychiatric effects, including depression, anxiety, and cognitive dysfunction, sometimes persisting long after discontinuation.

People who take finasteride/dutasteride also can report the inability to get an erection. DHT does a lot more than people think. I don't recommend taking DHT reducing drugs like fin/dut until like 25yrs old at least. Even when you wait until you're older, fin/dut still have their trade-offs.

Note that you can supplement allopregnanolone or its precursors.
