Try it out. But I have to warn you guys - chewing gum on an empty stomach can cause digestive issues. Best scenario would be to chew gum after a starchy meal. It'll improve digestion too if you avoid gum with artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols in it.

I should chew more often tbh. It's annoying when I constantly chew mint gum and wanna eat though
 
Why not eat first and chew gum directly afterwards?
I have a habit of eating junk at random times. I'll eat, have gum and want to eat again lol

Chewing gum after a meal actually helps me feel more satiated and not as soon hungry again. Maybe you chew not long enough and spit it out once the flavor's gone?
