Spending TOO MUCH time on video games and spending time online has had a negative impact on my life yes. That distinction is important: Too much time. Playing video games and spending time online in moderation is fine. But not to the neglect of having a social life and dating life. I wish I started online dating a lot sooner and invested more time into online dating sooner instead of wasting my years behind a PC or a game console.

My advice for young men is to make friends in high school and college. And build a mixed gender social circle. And of course use the dating apps too. But social circle game is going to be essential.
