That's what makes Chinese so fucked up and i gave up learning lol. The words almost sound similiar and pronunciations are alien-tier. There's also like millions of characters but you need to at least know 5k or 6k since average chinaman knows.

Yeah. I tried learning Chinese but give up quickly. It's complicated af. It's a good language for moneymaxxing though.

They are not used the same but in reality you can mix up if other person knows what you are talking about

When I say to my friends to pick character "飞" in 王者 ( video game ) they usually assume "非" because same meaning

Many such cases just that this happened a while ago. Makes it hard to learn language though.

chinese people in general are weird. they have no empathy for others, they use sewer oil in restuarants, they eat dogs. the culture encourages parents to be abusive, overall third worst race only beat by indians and somalis

theres even more with wei

威 (wēi): This character means "power," "authority," or "prestige."
卫 (wèi): This character means "guard" or "defend."
危 (wēi): Means "danger" or "peril."
威 (wēi): As mentioned earlier, means "power" or "prestige."
唯 (wéi): Means "only" or "just."

Holy shit please stop using ChatGPT for language learning it's terribly wrong

I'm not an expert in Chinese but you can clearly tell that what you've sent me is different

First of all the pronunciation is é / ē / è , how is that the same thing ? Maybe it is, but from the Latin alphabet it looks different to me
2nd you need to focus on the kanji, all 5 are different
3rd I think there's something similar to the Japanese pitch accent in Chinese
4th Context plays an important role, I know that a lot of words sound alike so you just have to be aware of these similarities then with context you can know which word belong in the sentence

My examples are based solely on my learning of Japanese but I assume it's more or less the same in Chinese, so ask someone who knows better
