How the fuck do you even choose a plastic surgeon??

Surgeries I’m interested in:
Orbital fat transfers, mid face implants, buccal fat reducing procedures like liposuction..

For reference im located in the west coast USA if anyone knows a good surgeon anywhere in the western states.

liposuction
Terrible surgery for the buccal fat pad.

Realistically just look at results, go and see if you can find reviews of them in Reddit and don’t just look at negatives since even if someone gets a good result most don’t go post their reviews about it being good but the people who get fucked (ofc surgeons can always mess up that’s just a risk everyone has to accept) post reviews making surgeons look a lot worse than they are (SOMETIMES).

Through Reddit talk to people who got it and their experiences and most importantly what they got ofc. Results matter if they aren’t good and natural what’s the point lol. Probably missed out on some other points but this is still good to do, you can also go on real self and see a lot more reviews than just google.

Yo ik your quite knowledgeable in surgeons and stuff, do you know the best method of finding their complication rates usually? If they are apart of the NHS

Impossible to ever know. They will lie to you. They will tell you that they have never had complications with this surgery etc.

Dont get surgery on the NHS. Most of the surgeons in the NHS are Oral surgeons, which is more general, rather than dedicated maxillofacial. This means that they are maybe performing 10 jaw surgeries per year lol. Compared to a private specialist maxillofacial surgeon who does 3 jaw surgeries per week.

NHS is unlikely to give u a good result

Fuck that’s brutal man, thought so ngl i feel like they don’t have much obligation to lyk.

BTW if your curious the surgeons/consultants I’m looking at are

Daniel Erza
Jimmy Uddin (reviews are kinda bad for him
But he’s performed over 500 orbital decompression procedures)
Geoffrey Rose - senior consultant (pretty sure he doesn’t perform surgery anymore but he has a good study on deep lateral decompression)

Not getting jaw surgery but I’m in need of orbital decompression, ideally at moorsfield. I do have bulging eyes and it causes me to not be able to close my eyelids fully (which is urgent) the proptosis isn’t severe I would say moderate but I’ll see when I have my appointment with a specialist.

I would go private but it costs a lot of money and I’m quite young still and got uni in a couple months so it’s gonna be hard to yk afford it esp abroad (which is what I’d do if I had to go private)

Daniel Erza
I’ve seen some really good results from his canthoplasties.

Surgery in the UK is expensive as fuck. So hope ur rich.

U can probably get OD on the NHS, depends how willing they are and how much u need it

Yea he seems to also be alright at OD

😭😭 fuck bruh, honestly it’s not terrible it’s like £10500 for both eyes at the Erza clinic. I’d go abroad for OD tho if I was gonna go private ngl

Yea hopefully my next appointment goes well and the specialist thinks it’s severe enough

Not worth it. My cantho was like £400 lol
Cantho from him is cheaper than 10k that’s for orbital decompression but he quoted me before when I just wanted to see the price around £4500 for cantho but damn £400 is insane is that turkey?

Thank you for the tips!

Lipo is bad for the cheeks? Should I look into a minor buccal fat removal?

Yeah but why would u…

There are better surgeons in Turkey and Asia for 1/10th of the price, so u can save money and even get more surgery.
