Hey guys I just wanted to clarify on this rule to be sure I am in line with any rules here. Say hypothetically someone started a BP YouTube channel. Are they allowed to share their videos here? If there was a paid and free value such as video content and then the consults were paid etc can they still share their channel here?

If it's a free, public video/YouTube channel, then you can post it here in the same way you could post anyone else's YouTube videos here. Recording your personal testimony or educational videos and sharing them here is also allowed, as it would've been allowed in text format as well. You would only be changing the format in which you conveyed the information.

You have to get permission to promote services. Consults and paid videos count as a service, so you would have to get permission to post them here.

The actual answer is "it would depend". It would depend on the overall context of your post, and whether or not it's clear the video was only posted with the attempt to promote your service(s). Staff are able to understand intent after all.

If your post does not contribute to the community, then only you would gain from that exchange. If you benefit the site or the community in some meaningful manner, then having a tiny bit about a service you provide would probably be allowed under the assumption the content you provided was valuable. Though most users who share this type of content rarely share anything valuable, so in some/most cases it's removed in favor of a user who would've posted something similar without an ad on it.

How are u going to sell information thats is already free and available to everyone? Why not work in real estate at that point. U have the skills developed at that point. U would be able to be able to be ur own boss here.

Tbh the fundamentals are wobbly at best. I generally dislike anything that deals with this much uncertainty much rather do something that is secure. But tbh i dont like any chance of doing something that can make me waste my time dis just me. Prefer a market thats shown longevity
