I have a Class 2 overbite and a recessed jaw/maxilla. My ortho had me get teeth extractions, but I just saw a TikTok from an orthodontist saying this could make the maxilla get pushed back even more, which I’m already dealing with.

My jaw looks weak and it’s starting to affect my breathing too. I’m looking into:
  • Expanders
  • Jaw surgery
  • Anything to help move the jaw/maxilla forward, not back
I’m worried the damage might already be done. Is there still hope to fix this? Also, my nose is crooked and I belive I have a deviated septum. If I do get septoplasty, will it help shape my nose a bit?

I put pics of my side profile below
