Classic Simpsons is Overrated and Unfunny

I watched this as a child because nothing else was on at 6pm besides the news on other channnels here in Australia.

Recently i went back and watched the classic simpsons Season 1 to 8, and ive realised the show was never really that "good". Sure i chuckled a few times here and there but overall the show was never really that funny.

The plot and character development is barebones, the jokes are very one note and low brow.

Most of the show is just lame parodies, shows like Seinfeld run rings around the Simpsons.

i fucked with the treehouse of horror (season 3 and 7) that's really it everything else was barebones i agree.

Honestly treehouse of horror was some of the few times they actually got creative and interesting. The regular show does have some moments here and there but nothing special.

Only liked the early seasons, i hated season 6

I used to watch family guy every night and i started watching simpsons instead…

tbh it's just not enough to make it watchable for me atleast pre season 7, 8 was fine.
