Ok so I am 22F college senior at a California party school that has never had a boyfriend and is a virgin. Physical appearance: biracial/lightskin, slim, longish hair, clear skin (I look similar to any of the Netflix biracial girls). Personality: Extrovert w/ social anxiety (talkative once I’m comfortable with you. People (guys especially) think it’s so easy for women to date simply based off being a woman. This is not true (in my case at least). Hookup offers are easy to get as a woman but not actual relationship requests. I am waiting to lose my virginity until I get a boyfriend (hopefully if that ever happens). I got hookup offers from cute guys but turned them down cause I want to wait for a bf first. Guys stare at me all the time but never say a word. As women we are held to a certain beauty standards we have to meet but even that’s not enough. Though I’ve been told I’m conventionally attractive bye men and others, it means nothing when that just leads to guys just wanting to hookup. When I ask about relationships they quickly dismiss saying they just want to have fun. For women we decide who we hookup with but guys determine who they get in a relationship with. Guys are very visual and want us girls to look like IG models or actresses (and even if you do look like that it’s still not enough). And for girls that don’t meet their beauty standard we are basically invisible to men or made fun of. Us girls on the other hand are not as visual as men. We are geared more towards personality. Guys do not need to meet beauty standards they just have to either have a good personality or have money to date successfully (or both). Men are even said to look better with age while for women it’s the opposite. Sure I can get sex easily but not a relationship. For men it’s the opposite. Ive still never had a boyfriend or even got close (just hookup requests). I guarantee it’s easier for a guy to find a relationship than it is for me.
