I know NOTHING. Shit when it comes to this. I cant seem to figure out what I want to focus on. Yet I want to know everything!
I want to have control over my internet experience. I want to know whats happening with my internet connection. Whats making it slow down, coming in and out.

I hear Python is a good solid start. Is this true ?
Will Python help me gain control and a better understanding over Windows/Linux ? Privacy settings/control. What about my cell phone/IOS/Android.
Keep in mind I know shit!
Any solid Youtube videos on this ?

python is just a coding language.

go into IT (information technology) if you wanna know more about hardware, wifi, networking and cybersecurity and all of that stuff

from what I heard python is bad to start with because it's easy and it doesn't help you learn core concepts that are needed for more difficult languages like C++
someone correct me if i'm wrong.

search on youtube. one of the essential skills you will need is to be able to find information by yourself

it helps you with the bare basics like variables, functions, loops, math operations

I guess, in college i'm doing C++, C#, SQL, java and PHP. Haven't touched python yet.

If you want full control over your computer then switching to linux is the start

yeah. i guess to put it simply, python teaches you what commands do, but not what they are, or the processes behind them

If you're self learning you'll quit if you start with C++ of course that's assuming you don't really enjoy it.

Starting with python is a lot better and then moving onto C++ once you understand programming logic.

I and every single person I know learned C++ first. Very easy to base pretty much every other language off of what you learned in that. If you start with python it will teach you bad habits that will lead you to poor optimization and syntax errors due to the nature of python. Its a great language and its easy to learn. But it will be just as easy to learn if you learn C++ first if not easier and then it wont fuck you up when you try to go learn other stricter languages

this opinion is so gay that I got your logic reversed. The reverse of this is correct.
