As any user above 80iq is aware, your body has types of fat, the important one today is brown adipose tissue (BAT)
did you know that your body could make its own DNP? no? well it can, kinda.
in response to cold exposure, your BAT activates its own limited mitochondrial uncoupler (similarly to DNP) called UCP1. It holds the same uncoupling mechanism as DNP, but in a localised manner and is regulated by the body's hemeostasis in order to generate heat. this varies person to person, but generally below 16°C (or 60°F for yankcels) will activate this mechanism.
because of this, this mechanism doesn't give your body cataracts, blindess, neural and nerve damage... or any of the nasty sides that traditional uncouplers do.
tldr: Being in slightly cold conditions makes the body produce a drop in ATP-based efficiency (to produce wasted energy as HEAT) similar to a light fever, or a localised low dose of DNP.
