It seems the looksmax community uses the term collagen in a non-technical sense for general facial fullness and youth. The technical use of the word collagen refers to collagen fibers, or, proteins that are made by cells called fibroblasts. Typically fibroblasts increase production of collagen when tissue is damaged.
Is facial aging due to the loss of collagen fibers? It seems to me aging can present itself varyingly. E.g. jowls being a loosening of skin around the neck due to a weak hyoid, forehead creases resulting from stress, sunspots from a bad diet and sun exposure, etc...
