College feels like one long overpriced joke that nobody wants to admit is ridiculous. You pay tens of thousands of dollars a year to sit in fluorescent-lit rooms listening to someone read PowerPoints that you could've googled in ten minutes. Half the time professors don't even care if you're learning; they just want you to regurgitate whatever arbitrary nonsense they put on the exam.

And then there's the bureaucracy. Everything requires three signatures, two emails, and a trip across campus to some office that's only open from 10:00–11:30 a.m. on alternate Tuesdays. Need financial aid help? Good luck. Need academic advising? You'll get a five-minute Zoom call where someone shrugs and tells you to "check the website."

Meanwhile, you're supposedly preparing for "the real world" while living in a bizarre bubble where fire alarms go off at 3 a.m., group projects punish you for being competent, and you're expected to write a twenty-page paper on a topic no one, including the professor, actually cares about.

And let's not even start on tuition. Colleges market themselves like luxury resorts with climbing walls and lazy rivers, but once you're enrolled, you're lucky if the Wi-Fi works in your dorm. You end up buried in debt, and for what? A piece of paper that may or may not help you get a job, depending on whether your chosen field respects degrees or just wants work experience you couldn't possibly have because you were too busy… being in college.

It's a system that makes less and less sense the longer you're in it, but everyone pretends it's the only path forward.

Imagine GOING to COLLEGE if you have to WORRY about the TUITION COST -- and not to just EXPLORE something you find INTERESTING along with HOOKING UP with a wide range of CUTE GIRLS in their early twenties.
