I have the same kinda issue. Im soon to be done with high school but im considering awaiting college one year until i get surgery, so i'll atleast have some chance getting some.

But i guess if you wait, just do something usefull that year. You'll regret it if you spend most of that year working out and dieting but spend the rest of the time sitting on this forum and jerking of in your mothers basement.
