Yeah its funny. They are at the same time blackpilled and bluepilled. Drawing style is extremely blackpilled, but in comics everyone even the homeless bums in the street have chiseled face structure, so romantic matters or things in which in our reality are ruled by looks, are ruled by behavior/achievement/power in comic books, since all characters have almost the same baseline looks level.

Its not even about power level, but mostly behavioral based. You have things like godlike characters as superman, silver surfer or others getting cucked by powerless normal humans, or getting shunned, badmouthed or discriminated by society because of some time they fuck up hard. Since everyone looks the same base, success is often based on behavior, which is a bluepilled concept. An exception to this is for example, the deviant mutants, which are described to be too different physically and cast out of normal lives because of it. But in comic book universe, usually for your looks to be a negative you have to be blue, have 3 eyes and fangs instead of teeth.

The animated universe (and most of the movies) arguably suffer from lacking character design variation more than the comics.

Almost every character has the same ludicrously set of wide shoulders and V taper, regardless of their actual strength.
