I've noticed a trend ... the most unhappy people today are in their mid 50s to early 70s

It's unconceivable for me not wanting to have kids. And i'm the first one who doesn't want all the noise and waking up in the morning to get them to school, but man, it's like you have your own project and you can make him the best version of yourself (If you do things correctly and stand your ground properly), and apart from that you are securing your last years with someone to take care of you.

I agree with the first part and the idea about making your kid like a project to become even a better version of you is something meaningful...you would have so many lessons to share and would help him avoid mistakes you've made

But the thing about securing someone to take care of you is pure BS

Some fall out with their parents decades later, some just abandon them, some even Sue them to take control of their assets

Some fall out with their parents decades later, some just abandon them, some even Sue them to take control of their assets

Nothing is guaranteed

Depends where and how, and a lot of it depends on the parents themselves (i.e they were very soft)

And that's why you have at least 27 kids with your 4 wives, just by pure math one will turn into the saviour.

Do they feel taken care of or left behind?
That's the most important thing

I've noticed loads of elderly people being very unhappy with the way the world is going...unhappy lives, no one respects them because they don't produce anything and are seen as holding everyone back etc

Elderly people are elderly people where they live doesn't really matter most of them lean conservative and everything they mess with is "old"

I wouldn't say so. A simple example. All Hollywood films that we are used to watching are created by old or mature directors. There are new and popular soundtracks, music, songs, etc. everywhere. Here in Russia, none of the young people watch domestic films because the old directors try to shove shitty 70s music from their youth into every movie
