Tall skull is ideal, there is infinitely more dolichocephalic supermodels than brachycephalic ones, you want a long and wide face not only one of the two, this is why almost all psl gods have tall skull and slightly longer midface than average in absolute terms.
Too compact midface = baby face, low class and low q.i
Too long = unattractive and bad harmony but correlated with high perceveid intelligence and high class at least

I agree, unless it's over-tier you can still be gl with a significantly lower or higher midface ratio than ideal, i have seen gl dudes with 1.84 mf ratio but i have almost never seen gl dudes with sub 1.6 FWHR
