Pretty much any high paying job has high barrier to entry now. Again for law if you want the good jobs you need a top top school. Otherwise you’ll be stuck being some shitty public defender. And again, these are competitive. Medicine is obviously the hardest one, 4 years of med school after undergrad, 3-7 years of residency, etc. All of these jobs also have crazy work hours.

The reason why Cs was so popular was because it had a relatively low barrier to entry and was chill. You mostly just needed a bachelors to get a pretty good salary and you could go to work in your shorts and a T shirt, work from home, blah blah
Recently it’s become a lot harder which is why people are talking about CS majors not getting jobs. It’s the natural progression of a high paying job, it’s going to get more and more competitive and difficult to get the best jobs.
The BEST paying jobs are also in CS/STEM. Ones with doctor tier salary right after a bachelors.
Those are probably impossible for most users here though. It’s like top MIT/harvard grads, obviously these are just the best of the best.
