Why does this forum degrade East Asian people for having lower empathy* yet also glorify low-empathy behavior in men of other ethnicities?
* The extent to which the gene in question actually pans out in people’s behavior, I do not know. But this thread isn’t about how much the gene matters in reality; it’s about the double standards that people on this forum appear to have, brought out by their belief that Asians are less empathetic than Europeans.

However, judging by the replies in @Pixie Dust ’s thread, the overwhelming majority of the people who read the thread agreed with anti-Asian, pro-empathy sentiment; there wasn’t much pushback against it in the replies. Unless, by sheer coincidence, the “pro-based” and “pro-dark-triad” users just happened to be offline when the thread was on the front page, I think it makes sense to conclude that there’s a very large overlap between (a) forum users who glorify violence and low empathy and (b) forum users who degrade certain groups of people deemed to be un-empathetic.
To me, it seems that these forum members took that genetic research as an excuse just to shit on Asians. Thoughts?

- …condone mass murders of normies (ER for example)?
