I have a narrower lower third than I'd like. My cheekbones protrude further out than my gonions, and when I clench my jaw it makes it look quite a bit better. Feeling my masseters when I clench leads me to believe I have good masseter muscle insertions but average masseter development. I also started 500mg Test E about 2 ish weeks ago so the muscle building benefits will kick in in the next several days.

Do products like these on amazon provide sufficient resistance? Should I go with falim gum? Don't tell me that masseter hypertrophy causes TMJ unless you can prove it you jews

never tried that as I find it a bit extreme but might work good just don't overtrain

Also want to add that clenching my jaw makes my hollow cheeks much more prevalent

thanks for input man do u think mastic gum or the silicone chewers work best (price isnt an issue)

Your massaters are gonna grow regardless on 500 test. Whether you chew plastic balls it not.

Though 500 test will rather bloat you.

Remember seeing a study on that. I'm fine with the bloat since I'm bulking but I just wanted to take advantage of masseter hypertrophy while my body is in a state of constant anabolism so maybe my jaw will look better once I cut with clen. fuarking risky tho

Meh cut with DNP if you’re gonna use anything other than caloric deficit for cutting fat. I used both clen and DNP before, there’s no comparison, DNP mogs in terms of side effect profile and fat loss.

Ngl, you’re gonna end up with moon face possibly even after test, due to chipmunk masseters. large masseters are rarely aesthetic.

Your zygos should be wider than your jaw.

Really? even as someone without big masseters genetically speaking as a baseline, my masseters will get big enough to ruin harmony? (on test 500 w/ masseter training)

If you didn’t chew through puberty or just don’t chew enough in general, then it can benefit you. If they are under developed then maybe chewing will give you some good benefits, maybe even longer ramus if young enough.

i chewed a while back and do believe it improved my ramus. there is more bone deposits to where i have that notch now, where as before i didn’t. I don’t chew any more however since i believe my masseyers to be good / normal size and anything bigger would lookismin / bloat.

basically if under developed masters chew a bit and then stop. you 100% don’t need test to grow them especially if they are too small. they will respond quick to chewing. then just you eating normally will maintain the size of them without having to constantly remeber to chew gum or whatever.

if already normal size don’t chew. you’ll get bloated and more round jaw. just looks shit

They work. They can make your jaw thicker by about 1 to 2 mm per side without excessive use. You won't get TMJ unless you're a dumbass and you chew those things all day and continue to do so even when hurting

So I'm hearing it does work and can easily be overdone, but how easy is it to lose the muscle during a cut? I assume it's like any other muscle group where I will have to keep training it during the cut. Might develop complications if I need to chew that long

If you’re chewing your food properly and not just putting it in your mouth and swallowing you will maintain the size. Even if it decreases slightly, muscle memory is real. People who do botox continue to have to get it done since their masters will enlarge again due to muscle memory. You don’t need to train too much. I have myself tmj for a bit when i over did it. it did resolve on its own after i stopped.

Thanks a lot man for all the info I just have one more question: is there a guide on this stuff? Like what rep ranges are suitable for muscle growth and safety and how many times it can be trained and if I should go to failure and miscellaneous questions like that. Search feature is ass

Search feature is indeed astronomically shit.

Use mastic gum.

Don’t go straight to the deep end chewing hours which isn’t even recommended or good for you (tmj)

It’s a normal muscle so you still gotta progressively over load it.

Not reps, just count time. Like start 10-15 mins chewing on each side (20-30 mins total).

Keep doing that till it’s to easy, then increase time slowly.

You will look bloated for a few hours / day after hard chewing due to the pump effect that you get like after the gym. Cheeks may look blown up. It’s all the extra blood rushing to the area. It will go away eventually. It’s a temporary looksmin until you get desired masseter size.

One you have normal masseter size, stop.


Also, if you still wanna get out of your test cycle it’s not too late. 2 weeks test hasn’t fully saturated and your balls are still producing test.

I was gonna say something similar to him ^ although I wouldn't even recommend mastic gum

The risk of TMJ is not worth the 1-2 mm of potential bigonial width growth

you can also get TMD which will fuck you up big time. everything other than filler or implants is cope
 
if you're getting ortho appliance, this would also work the same as chewing, which has been shown to alter ccw rotation slightly and improve bone mass in the lower jaw. but don't do it too much either way

I have used them and personally, do not get them. They make your face look bulkier and puffier so unless you have a really long face then stay away from them.

Here is my NON scientific opinion :

You won't lose masseter muscle during a cut if you keep exercising it, or you will lose so little that it's unnoticeable. For not overdoing it is very simple :
-try to use it everyday for 15 to 30 the first few months. If you feel that your joints are too sore or hurt, stop for a few days and/or reduce the duration of exercise
-for maintenance doing it 10 to 15 minutes every 2 to 3 days will suffice to keep the mass accumulated.

Happenned to me also, my jaw joint starting being inflammed after chewing those things for too long. I stopped for a while and started a more moderate routine and it never came back
