16m for context, thinking of taking topical minoxidil orally while on finasteride. i already take apply it to my scalp normally and was wondering what effect it would have on my dht levels if i consumed orally since im alr on finasteride

personally i started fin cus my growth seems to me mostly finished. for context im 6'3 and my facial bones and dimorphism are to the point where im satisfied, id much prefer a head full of hair rather than minimal growth to my already developed feaures

yes, i had semi noticeable bald spots and talked to a dermatologist who prescribed me fin. i would say around 2-3 months and i wouldve lost the majority of my hair

You’re misinformed, minoxidil and finasteride do different things, minoxidil helps you grow hair, it has absolutely no effect on your dht.

Finasteride prevents hair follicles breakage by reducing the thing that causes testosterone to transform into dht, in simple terms.

Btw I don’t think you should be talking finasteride at 16, dht has some really important influence on your bones in puberty.

dont fucking take anything orally take topical so less of it is systemic and your affecting you whole body with a vasodilator. also when the oral fin makes u turn into a woman hmu
