Everything you do in life is a cope. You have to cope. Coping is a part of human nature. If you only focused on the hard truth all day and did nothing to distract yourself from it, you would shoot your self in the head.

Just as bad as coping is addiction to negativity and nihilism, as it's very common on here.

That's actually its own cope, as I experience it every single time myself whenever I find myself in a bad situation. Exaggerating a bad thing in your life makes you feel more powerful and inhibiton-less, as if to hold up a fist against your miserable situation and say "I am more twisted and cruel than you are."

Those are all observations I have made in myself, and eversince it has become very hard to fall victim to hate addiction without going "Dude, we know we are just coping".
