Coping surgery with sleep apnea

So i was wondering, my dad has sleep apnea, and i think i might have it too, bc i already did tonsils surgery, but still i have problems sleeping, so im going next month to have all the studies done, but its possible to cope the doctors by saying its worse than it actually is??
My goal is to have lefort 1 as my maxilla is cooked
