Recently, the returning user @Copt was banned by mods for "alting" which just flat out isn't true.

I PM'd him myself out of curiosity regarding his ban, here's how it went:
Copt: Perma ban🤬
JGM: WHY
Copt: Idek They keep denying my appeals where I ask why
JGM: did you tell them you deleted your old account and it isnt an alt? that could be why
Copt: Randomized shame keeps deleting it

I looked on his profile to spread the unfortunate news of his ban to those who were asking, and had a minor interaction with @Randomized Shame in regards to it. Here:
Screenshot 2025 07 29 202449

There have been no updates (that I know of) regarding his ban so I would like to try to explain why his unban was unfair and "unconstitutional"

His final post was made on APRIL 19 (3 MONTHS AGO)- https://looksmax.org/threads/greycelzoomer-proton-me.1409420/
As stated
in this official rules thread regarding users who deleted- https://looksmax.org/threads/changes-to-how-we-handle-deleted-accounts.423255/ - and i quote, "From now on, if you delete your account, you can make a new one after THREE (3) months." He created his new account, @Copt on JULY 22

I don't know what the mods are missing, but it's been three days since I talked to randomized shame and copt is still banned!

To sum this up: Copt made this account 3 months after his deletion, no rules were broken.

There seems to be confusion on the alt policy.

When you first sign up to .org, that is deemed as your primary account by default. If your first account is Invalid (such as Rejected) then it doesn't count, it's whenever your account is deemed Valid.

If, for whatever reason, you decide you no longer want that primary account anymore, you request a deletion and then after it's been fully deleted you're allowed to come back in 3 months. Your old account will be Disabled, not Valid, so your next account on sign up that's Valid is deemed as the new primary account.

Just because you delete one account it doesn't necessarily mean you're allowed back; normally you have to delete all secondary accounts before being allowed a new primary account.

When you have a primary account, and you delete it, and then you come back too early, that new account is deemed as the primary of sorts (as I've stated previously) and you need to now appeal, because technically you're now Banned not Disabled, and every account afterwards is deemed as ban evasion. It's because you broke the 3 month rule, and you need to appeal that ban first regardless of how much time has passed.

We just don't allow alts or secondary accounts.

You're allowed to deem it unfair, and you're allowed to think the 3 month rule is too excessive. It doesn't change the fact it's just how the site staff has determined how it should be on here. When you use the 'Service' (that being access to the site + your account to the site), you agree to abide by the Terms of Service (hence the name) and the Community Guidelines. You're using a private service, and you don't have any rights to use the service. Your access (or account in this case) can be terminated because you're not following up your end of the contract essentially.

In regards of this particular user, I understand his frustration (and maybe impatience) with trying to recover certain accounts and stuff to get them properly deleted. It doesn't change the fact that he needs to follow the same protocol as every other user on the site does.

So, no, it was not unconstitutional, even if it may feel that way as a user.

Had it not been 3 months? I double checked as well and I am quite certain it had been, if not I understand. Although I disagree with the policy I understand that there isn't much of a way around it and I can accept that. But i do believe he waited 3 months before creating his new account?

The copt account is just one of his newer accounts, he's had many up until this point that have been banned. In the Appeals section he said he lost login access to one of the accounts, and I believe he struggled to get communication with an Admin+ so I assume an aspect of it was not wanting to wait for a response any longer.

I'll double check all of his alts tomorrow morning to make sure I'm remembering everything correctly and that he wasn't accidentally falsely banned. It doesn't hurt to check but I'm pretty confident his original ban is still deemed unappealed which is why he keeps getting banned on new accounts.
