Same fucking pattern is emerging everywhere. In every developed nation that doesn't fucking lie about it's deaths the rate of recovered vs dead is about 40-50%. And this is consistent. Only countries that are not at this point are either only recently infected or are lying about their statistics. This is also consistent with the stories I have heard of large families (5-7 members) from infected countries losing 2-4 of them to the virus.

This virus is even more horrifying than I imagined. I was scared at the prospect of a 10-20% death rate. Now it looks like it's even more horrifying.

Brace for impact boys. There is a 50/50 chance you will live through this, and if you do, then you will inherit a world where half of all your friends and loved ones are dead and the economy destroyed.

Theres a huge gap from those who get tested positive and the actual number that's infected

Lots of people don't get tested. Lots of people also die at home. Some sources even go as far as to claim that most people in China died at their home and not at hospitals. Reports also suggest that 80-90% of cases get at least some kind of pneumonia meaning it's not really possible to not notice you have this shit. Stories of people getting only "mild" sickness are probably bullshit.
