I think it might have something to do with how you sleep.I used to sleep way more on the left side of my face than my right and I have a slightly less protruding left cheekbone though it's not too noticeable.

The only reason you looked a little different is because you were stubble frauding in your first picture and it somewhat masked your already present asymmetry.
