Do corticosteroids like hydrocortisone or fluocinolone thin skin/reduce inflammation wherever applied for a long term? I know they can have those effects short term but can I achieve those results permanently or for years without spider veins or other negative effects? I had rhinoplasty but still have thick skin which could be swelling maybe? Any help is greatly appreciated

When did you get your rhino? Are you not impressed with your result?

The corticosteroids seem to have reason to them theoretically, but actual thick cartilage/skin is really hard to be handled; they will usually tell you this when you get your rhino because it makes it harder for them to give you what you want.

They're cheap, so why not? May as well give them a try. You can always get a little £1000-£2000 tip refinement.

I had it done about 2 years ago now. I like the look when my nose has low inflammation or i guess thinned skin. I was on accutane for about 9 months after the surgery which I was satisfied with the results but I feel like my skin didn’t stay thinned. Thanks for the advice. I think i’ll test out a corticosteroid and see where that goes.

Your nose should definitely not be inflamed as a consequence of the surgery by now. Give some corticos a go.

Did you go to Turkey or EU/US for your rhino?

I had it done in Mexico. I think I just got an unrealistic look due to the time on accutane. I honestly touch it too much as well which surely isn’t helping. Hopefully corticosteroids and less touching it will make it look better. Either way I think i’m going to get another rhinoplasty later on because of my side profile. That or some work on the jaw/chin.
