Yes it would be overkill. Unless you have sleep apnea or other breathing related issues. You are a classic genioplasty candidate. Please don't listen to people saying you need jaw surgery. It's extremely expensive and extremely invasive, with a brutal recovery period. Go and consult with a plastic surgeon who is also trained in craniofacial surgery
