Could genotypemaxxing become possible at some point?

So I've seen advancements in Changing DNA in regards to treating sickle cell disease which had me thinking, since DNA editing in a way is possible could there be a potential future where we could change/edit our genotype in order to produce better aesthetic results maybe not for yourself exactly but maybe your bloodline or change development in some way because it seems not impossible but idk
