My wife and my sister do not get along well, never have. My sister is a nosey and prideful dumbass who is all talk, no substance. My wife is an overly emotional but extremely shy/quiet person, who is easily hurt when she perceives hostility or injustice towards her or her children.
My sister has no interest in my children, so transfers money each Christmas telling us to buy something for them, wrap it up and write her name on it. Last year we've done the same thing back. This year my wife suggested that transferring the same amount of money back and forth makes little sense, and if she doesn't care to make an effort, we should just stop exchanging gifts.
All hell broke loose. My mother wrote a giga wall of text saying how sad she is that her grandchildren won't play together on Christmas, and that she cannot understand how her children ended up hating each other (wtf). My sister and her husband told us to see a shrink and left the family group chat. I asked wtf is wrong and that such comments are disrespectful, especially since they know about her emotional issues. Offered to have a call to discuss the issue. My mother said to stop fighting and left the group chat as well (wtf).
My wife has cried herself to sleep. My cuck father complained how this went way overboard (to an empty group chat). Everyone is pissed off and this might be the beginning of a permanent rift on my side of the family. Christmas is definitely cancelled.
tl;dr: If you don't move to Afghanistan, it's over and foids will ruin your (extended) family on a whim.
