Crazy idea to fix deepbite - thumbpulling during MSE/SARPE

Lmfao ok its a little clickbait, I wouldn't exactly THUMBPULL but at least I'd TRY to hardmew with only the tip of the tongue. After the MSE or MARPE appliance is removed, You'd be able to get some slight but measurable gains from mewing (crazy right) but your sutures are basically as if you are 12 at that point so yea. I know theres a bit more bones involved with actual maxillary rotation and that I'd run the risk of just dental flaring or asymmetrical palatal expansion, but yea. Wonderful idea

possibly it could work but why not during the expansion since its the most loose?

Makes sense since marpe losens ur skull sutures while ur expanding. But wouldnt it be better during the expansion? Because marpe just expands side to side? By hard mewing (depending where you place the marpe in the back is better ) your sutures are like when u were young you can get some forward growth by pushing it hard enough. Risks are if your already asymmertic by doing this you can become more asymmertical, Unless you find the right ortho who places the device at a angle (if your right eye is higher and left eye lower you would slant the device to push ur left eye up and right eye lower but this takes a decent amount of experience and planning cbct scans and etc. Going to be installing marpe soon Homemade with a ortho friend of mine who understands this, Just ordered the device today.

Yea not gonna notice it unless you were already asymmertical which is from posture most of the time which is fixable. I will let you know how the expansion goes when the device comes in.
