Never heard of him but unless these are subtle wrap around jaw implants I'd say these are all the work of mandibular angle implants. A lof of these are off the shelf designs and you don't really need to be picky with who does them as long as they don't have a history of botching. (usually what you'll want to look out for when it comes to implant surgeons are any histories of infections or not properly securing implants, causing them to loosen)

They’re both gonial implants yeah. The first guy also got a chin implant. How could you tell that they’re off the shelf instead of custom?

I can't tell (unless the implant is comically shaped, then it's likely custom), just that I've seen off the shelf results in the past that look decent.

In theory yes, you can get tighter fits with custom as well as have the freedom to shape it any way you desire. Though one problem I find with custom implants is that they're either too conservative (resulting in little to no change) or too comical (leading to rather bogged results). The advantage of an off the shelf implant is that it has gone through numerous trials and errors to shape a normal but effective design. Off the shelf implants can also be slightly customised by slightly shaving and shaping them, they don't have 0 customisation. One problem with off the shelf designs is that securing them might be a bit more finnicky so I'd make sure the surgeon doesn't have any history of loose implants.
