What field are you in? In my field (software engineer) LinkedIn is basically a must for receiving offers from recruiters. You don't need to use it regularly. Just set it up and make sure to reach 300+ connections. From then on you can log into it once a week or so.
Also you can find internships off LinkedIn, one of my friends got their internship through a LinkedIn connection

Yeah you can online job search on platforms that are not facebook-lite.
