This will be a lot easier if you work as a waiter at a fine dining or any expensive restraunt because their you just take their card somewhere else.

If you scan their card twice it's gonna be suspicious. Sure you can larp the device isn't working but if it happens for every customer it won't work.

You can also alternatively just offer extra cash for waiters trying to make more by getting them to scan the cards for you in that device and accessing the data later for your scams.

This approach you can then minimize the risk of it being tied to you specifically and get a ton of customers all at once.
