Crossbite, braces and jaw surgery

I got a proper scan at my ortho, she tested my bite and turns out i have a cross bite and will need braces for 1,5 years. I am not sure if I should invest in this tho, heard a lot of different opinions about braces. Some say it fucked them up others that its a looksmax.
I am thinking about getting DJS in the future, is me “fixing” my bite get in the way of it?

What are your thoughts on the braces?

Before anything get an evaluation from a black pilled ortho or airway based surgeon.

You could have a perfect bite but a skeletal issue that regular orthos can’t see.
