“This happened awhile back. I was in a taxi, the driver was an African immigrant. He told me he really wants an Indian wife (ew). He had lots of misconceptions about India, such as believing the country has no women's rights, women can't even drive there, can't go outside...He actually thought that he would be "saving" an Indian woman by marrying one. I told him that those things are only true in an extremely rural village in the middle of nowhere, but he didn't want to hear this. It made me realize that he only wants to marry an Indian because he thinks that Indians are inferior. This was another level of insight into the mind of an anti-Indian racist. Have any of you noticed something similar?”
