Cutting detrimental to Testosterone?

I have recently been on a cut of which I have lost 14kg over 3 months. As you may have gathered this wasn’t a clean cut and it was give or take- starvation.

It was not until after it was brought unto my attention that cutting CAN lower testosterone if done wrong.

There has been multiple studies that show this and I was bringing it to peoples attention not to cut diabolically especially if a teen like me.

Is there any way I can rebuild this test to prior to the cut and perhaps even better? thanks.

being in a caloric deficit signals your body that it's under stress. stress raises cortisol, which is bad for testosterone

so in theory not being in a caloric deficit or perhaps rather a surplus may raise it instead because of the cortisol?

true. but if your'e cutting, keep the calorie deficit moderate, around 15% deficit. this minimises stress.

i must say 14 kg in 3 months is impressive though
 
Its only a major problem for ur test if you start getting below like 8-10% body fat depending on ur body, i cut to 8% recently and testosterone was fine, slightly lower tho

Just check your grip strength, if its getting lower or whatever then your t is getting lower also

Cutting, irrespective of any other habits, is going to lower total testosterone, whether you cut unhealthily or healthily.

It will lower test, not denying that, but i’m saying in most people, its not going to be a significant problem if you stay above 8-10% body fat. Only when you go below that does it start to drop significantly.

hard to tell really I think I’m at 12-15 atm. I’m seeing veins on my and bicep etc.

Its hard to tell honestly there really isnt like a 100% accurate way to tell, just keep track of how you look each week.
when you start getting to 10 and below you might start seeing veins below ur abs and just more vascularity in general, abs get really defined, etc

Only thing you can do is get bloodwork to see what your testosterone levels are, but unless you have a reference for your total and free testosterone before you lost weight, you will just be guessing how they've changed. It likely is just that your total testosterone is lower but free testosterone (what matters) is higher unless you are borderline-anorexic.

Yeah that’s a problem atm I see veins to the lower right of my abs yet my abs aren’t exactly popping atm
