Cutting long hair is extremely hard after having it

I like long hair, but there are pros and big cons for it like keeping care for it, getting everywhere in your face. Sometimes i really wish to have an stylish undercut again but i can't cut it, something about that action feels so betraying to my identity and all the sacrifice i did to have long hair in the process brutal
