How is it possible? I know a cyclist with bodybuilder tier legs, and he never goes to the gym. Only heavy cycling 5-6 times a week. I always thought muscle growth is limited to heavy weights and rep range of 5-12 plus a few days of rest.

it is everyday overtraining followed by long break like a week or two, the muscles get to recover and they grow like crazy

I have cyclist legs but not as big as that.

Been doing MTB, leg extensions and presses for years though.

I wonder if people could tell the difference if you just looked at bodybuilder, cyclist legs

Even marathon and triathlon runners do half squats to simulate running that i know of

some lift just like soccer players, but they usually don't lift that heavy, maybe 100kg max.

What makes you think he doesn't squat lol?

Probably for a LOT of reps though.

They roid and lift. That dude in the pic (robert forsteman) squats like 600 pounds

also their leg bones are thick af from putting so much stress on it

So in all honesty should I just quit squats and calf raises and instead bike 30 mins or so a day?

You posted short distance sprint cyclists. Long distance cyclists are skinny mfkers. Also they all roid like no tomorrow, and they definitely do squats, all sprint cyclists do them.

Legs won't grow much if at all with cycling alone :blackpill:.
